St Catherine's College, which developed out of the St Catherine's Society, was founded in 1962. It is Oxford’s newest college and also one of its largest.  It offers a wide range of subjects with a roughly even science-arts ratio. With three Nobel Prize winners among its alumni and many Fellows with an international reputation, the college justly prides itself on its place at the cutting edge of innovation and academic research. At the same time, low, modern buildings and restful, open spaces give the college a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which everyone is quickly made to feel at home.
