The UNC-CH Sevilla Program is one of the oldest study abroad programs offered by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Established in 1973 by the Department of Romance Languages, the UNC in Sevilla Program enjoys a rich history of academic excellence.

Sevilla, located in southern Spain, is the capital of Andalusia. Studying in Sevilla provides the unique opportunity to explore Spanish--especially Andalusian--culture in a large city that is not overwhelmingly so. Sevilla's architecture provides a history lesson as Spanish and European elements mix with remaining Moorish structures to create a city that never fails to impress and inspire all who visit.

You’re getting ready to complete Intermediate Spanish II, but you don’t feel like you could hold a conversation in Spanish. If you want an opportunity to really practice what you’ve learned in the classroom, consider studying in Sevilla. The Language, Society and Cultural Studies (LSCS) program is intended for students who have completed four semesters of college Spanish or the equivalent. In LSCS students will take five classes in subject areas include art, language, literature, history, and politics. Classes are taken with other LSCS students at CINECU.
